The Geocomm is a pocket-sized GPS device. Chris wears one on a lanyard when he goes to the movies. If Chris gets lost on the way home, he can use his Geocomm to call SafeinHome remote staff or other support people. They can guide Chris to get home safely and talk about the movie for the whole trip home.
The Seizure Wrist Band that Sally* wears makes her feel safe. If Sally has an epileptic seizure, the band will alert her remote support staff who will verify whether it is happening or just a false alarm. If it is happening, the staff will follow the requirements of the care plan for such an event. It is nice to know that there is always someone available so that Sally can keep living her life the way she wants to.
Assistive Tech is not the only thing Remote Supports offers. SafeinHome sensors can be set up in the home too. A sensor might shut off the stove if it has been on for too long or alert staff if moisture is detected in the bathroom.
